2020 Polls: I’ll snatch Sunyani West Constituency seat for NDC - Millicent Yeboah

Mrs. Millicent Yeboah Amankwah, an aspiring parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Sunyani West Constituency, has said she will snatch the Sunyani West Constituency Parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 elections for NDC.

Mrs. Millicent Yeboah Amankwah, an aspiring parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Sunyani West Constituency, has said she will snatch the Sunyani West Constituency Parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 elections for NDC.


According to Mrs. Millicent Yeboah Amankwah, the incumbent MP Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah has not done any good things for the people of Sunyani West and also neglected them after winning the seat.


“Under this current MP, Sunyani West facing poor roads, lack of portable drinking water, no jobs for the youths among others” she said.


She said all the development projects in the constituency was done by former Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. Kwadwo Nyamekye-Marfo led by NDC government, so she ready to take the seat and continue the work.


Mrs. Millicent Yeboah Amankwah speaking in an interview with Kwabena Obeng Akrofi on Bono and Ahafo Television (BA TV) political talk show dubbed “Me Man Nti’, said "I will change the voting trend in Sunyani West, it is very clear things are changing as residents are calling for us (NDC) to take the seat” she stated.


“I have toured most of the communities and everything shows that the people were ready to give NDC a try and called for support from all NDC members and sympathizers to support the movement for us to win the seat” she added.


She asked voters in the constituency to turn out in their numbers on 7 December and vote massively for her and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) because the NDC government has done more for the Sunyani West than any other political party.


“This year elections are not about fighting as we have heard some rumors about the incumbent MP, who is planning to bring fake security personnel on the election day. We are not going to sit down to watch our opponents to intimidate us with any fake security personnel’s”.


Mrs. Millicent Yeboah Amankwah filed the nomination forms on Wednesday, 7th October 2020, at the Electoral Commission’s office at the Odumase.
